Today, we mark the tragic passing of Queen Elizabeth II - who celebrated her Platinum Jubilee earlier this year and ruled Britain for 70 years and visited Burnley three times during her tenure. Burnley as a whole have paid tribute to her.
According to the club website, in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Burnley FC’s fixtures across the men’s, women and academy teams have been postponed. Burnley FC will release details of all rearranged games in due course, along with further updates on fixtures which are scheduled to take place during the period of mourning taking place across the Britain and the world.
The three postponed fixtures this weekend are:
Burnley FC v Norwich City on Friday 9th September 2022. Millwall U18s v Burnley FC U18s
Saturday 10th September 2022. Hull City Ladies v Burnley FC Women
on Sunday 11th September
